Louis Libitz (b. Jersey City, New Jersey)
He received his MFA in Art Video from the Department of Transmedia, College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University; where he also taught Advanced Post-Production Techniques as an adjunct professor. He received his BA in Media Arts from the Media Arts Department, College of Arts and Sciences at New Jersey City University. Currently, he is an adjunct professor of Computer Imaging and Computer 2D Animation 1 courses in the Department of Arts & Communications at Bergen Community College.
Working in both experimental and documentary styles, his video works have been exhibited in numerous galleries and festivals nationally and internationally.
Louis Libitz (aka Rankin) is also a DJ for approximately 16 years now. Spinning Electronica in the genres of Trance / Techno as well the Underground and the Obscure, Rankin has and continues to play at numerous clubs, lounges, and establishments around the Tri-State area.
